Obama = Bush and Your Government on Porn
Somehow I’m not surprised by this. Hussein made lots of noise before he got elected, but now that he’s in office there doesn’t appear to be much concern with rolling back the bullshit of the W. Bush years.
“The administration will continue to hold the detainees without bringing them to trial based on the power it says it has under the Congressional resolution passed after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, authorizing the president to use force against forces of Al Qaeda and the Taliban,” the Times‘ Peter Baker writes. “In concluding that it does not need specific permission from Congress to hold detainees without charges, the Obama administration is adopting one of the arguments advanced by the Bush administration in years of debates about detention policies.”
I thought Hussein Obama the First and the Second was going to walk on water, save the economy, give you free healthcare and restore civil liberties. Hows that change working for you?
Roughly 50 detainees of the more than 200 still held at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba are thought to be affected by the decision.
I thought the Messiah was going to close Guantanamo Bay. What is going on here?
Meanwhile government employees are busy with important things.
Now get a load of this justification:
For instance, one senior executive spent at least 331 days looking at pornography on his government computer and chatting online with nude or partially clad women without being detected, the records show.
When finally caught, the NSF official retired. He even offered, among other explanations, a humanitarian defense, suggesting that he frequented the porn sites to provide a living to the poor overseas women. Investigators put the cost to taxpayers of the senior official’s porn surfing at between $13,800 and about $58,000.
“He explained that these young women are from poor countries and need to make money to help their parents and this site helps them do that,” investigators wrote in a memo.
These young women need to make money? Wow. Notice also that he retired. He didn’t get fired as would happen in the private sector. No, he retired and maybe even got a golden parachute to ease his landing. Who knows.
And . . . these are the people you are going to put in charge of healthcare. Good move America. This is why most of you should not be allowed to vote.
