  1. Gentoo. You can opt out of the NSA trojan horse known as systemd. Config files are still in reasonable places, as much as possible. You don’t have to install hundreds of megs of bloatware if you don’t want to.

    • Systemd can suck my D. I still use openrc on my gentoo systems. At this point it seems like all the newer distros have jumped to systemd.

      Another advantage of Gentoo is as you say – you only install what you want. It’s a damn solid distro.
