First I rant about the shitty customer support provided by Toshiba via their website, email and twitter. Then I talk about the book “Catch and Release” by Lawrence Block. I never read crime stories. This collection of short stories caught my eye at the library and it was fantastic. Even if you don’t normally read crime stories I can highly recommend this book to you. Block’s writing is powerful and his stories are intriguing. Well worth your time. I read a book that’s not about philosophy or politics. And it was really fucking nice. Parasite isn’t going to win any awards. The ending was predicable. There was too much “oh I love my boyfriend and my do so much” filler material. The science is questionable. But the premise is interesting and it’s a fun & light read.
