Linkage: 31 December, 2019 – Science Fiction – How Long Until The Sun Goes Out? #CLSology
Science fiction was once the domain of men and the sorts of women who liked men who treated them like women.
Great writers. Epic story arcs. Bold exploration and adventure. Survival more by faith than science.
Since the cucks allowed womynz to take control of everything (and the some) science fiction has become the playground of the mentally ill.
Originally this was going to be a positive edition of linkage. I was going to link to some good science fiction videos. I’m still gonna link you some good stuff . . . yet I find I must start off with cultural vomit. Grab your barf bag ’cause here we go.
I am way behind on my Escape Pod listening. I loaded up a few years (yes, years – I’m 200 episodes behind) of episodes and hit the play button. Subsequently I frequently hit the next track button.
Or as I call it – the skip button.
Adam Piggott once declared on The Greasy Pole that he will not read any book written by a women. I don’t go quite that far – though I will not read a book written by a woman about business management, time management, financial management, self improvement, self awareness, or any of the other thousands of topics women don’t know anything about. I am willing to give science fiction written by a woman a chance.
A chance. But I’ve got some rules. The following is not an exhaustive list of them.
While listening to the intro for an episode if either the author or narrator is declared to be anything other than heterosexual man or heterosexual women . . . Skip!
If 10 minutes into the story all the characters are female . . . Skip!
If a female character goes more than 60 seconds talking about her feelings or emotions . . . Skip!
If any of the characters are not heterosexual man or heterosexual women (keeping in mind that all women, yes all women, are bisexual) . . . Skip! Aliens don’t factor in to this. They aren’t human.
If 10 minutes into the story nothing has actually happened other than emotions . . . Skip!
If 10 minutes into the story there is still nothing remotely science or off-world about the story . . . Skip!
If I suspect even the remotest chance a dream sequence is involved . . . Skip!
Explicit sex scene . . . Skip! Not because I don’t like sex. Because 99% of male authors can’t write sex and 101% of female authors can’t write sex.
Drug use for no good reason . . . Skip!
Any character has a mental illness, ADHD or is taking medication for his personality . . . Skip!
Single mother . . . Skip!
As you might guess if you know anything about the status of science fiction in the current year there is a whole lotta . . . Skip! going on.
I stuck this one out to see where it went. I suspected I knew exactly where it was gonna go and I was right. You can read the story via the link or listen to the podcast via the link or not follow the link at all. I’ll tell you what you need to know.
Leonardo says that the Americans are going to fire some rockets and free us from the tyranny of the aliens and I say: who gives a shit. Lemme tell you something: It wasn’t super-awesome around here before the aliens. At least we get three meals every day now.
I used to live in a cardboard house with a tin roof and collected garbage for a living. They called my home a ‘lost city’ but they should’ve called it ‘fucked city.’
Leonardo talks about regaining our freedom, ‘bout fighting and shit. What damn freedom? You think I had freedom in the slums? Leonardo can talk freedom out his ass because he had money before this thing started and he saw too many American movies where they kill the monsters with big guns.
I’m not an idiot. The cops used to do their little “operations” in our neighborhood. They’d come in and arrest everyone, take everything. They weren’t Hollywood heroes out to help people. They were fucking assholes and I don’t see why they would have changed. As for American soldiers saving the day: You think they give a rat’s ass ‘bout Mexico City? You think they’re going to fly here in their helicopters and save us?
I say fuck that shit. I never had no freedom. Leonardo can go piss himself.
The unnamed protagonist is a coloured women.
Let me digress a moment. I said coloured woman. Not woman of colour. I lead with what you lead with.
Recall some time ago I did the podcasts about the document written by some unknown people at CSU which explained which words were not to be used as people might be offended. In that document was explained to us “people first language” and why “person of colour” is not offensive while “coloured person” is offensive.
As you know my number one priority is to not be offensive. Especially towards the mud people who want to kill me. Hashtag kill all white men.
If you haven’t heard those episodes you may be asking . . .
What is “People First Language?”
People First Language is a movement that came out in the late 1980’s with various advocacy groups. It was a movement that essentially wanted to humanize people with disabilities, so that the mainstream would start to see us as real people. It set out to do so by nudging the mainstream into seeing people, rather than conditions, first.
I do not believe it was ever intended as some kind of rigid, hard core word law, and remember: when People First Language came out, the words, “crippled” and “handicapped” were still regularly used, as was “retarded” and to a lesser extent, “mongoloid.”
We’ve made great strides in our language over the past 30 years, and there has also been a powerful move forward in disability culture, disability pride and disability justice.
These strides in the disability arena mean that many of us in the disability community have reached around to embrace the totality of who we are. We are proud. Our bodies, minds, senses and emotions are leaping forward and navigating the world on this platform of disability.
In other words, we do what we do, we live our lives from our disabled bodies, and we like our lives. We like our bodies! We’re not all looking for a cure.
People first language is the phrasing you are suppose to use when talking about cripples, the handicapped, retards and mongoloids.
Naturally liberal white people would apply this phrasing to people who are not of white European descent.
Using People First Language—putting the person before the disability—and eliminating old, prejudicial, and hurtful descriptors, can move us in a new direction. People First Language is not political correctness; instead, it demonstrates good manners, respect, the Golden Rule, and more—it can change the way we see a person, and it can change the way a person sees herself! The articles below can help us begin to use more respectful and accurate language and create positive change in the process!
https://www.disabilityisnatural.com/people-first-language.html
Liberal white people regard non-white people as pets. Libtards consider non-white people to be disabled. Remember the video I posted of the white college kids talking (very seriously) about how black people would not be able to vote if they had to show an ID to vote because black people (not making this up) couldn’t get a driver’s license because they didn’t know where the DMV was because they didn’t have access to the internet to find out where the DMV is.
These college kids literally (Hitler!) regard people who have dark skin as being too retarded to get a driver’s license.
Hey coloured people, these are your “friends”.
People-first language (PFL), also called person-first language (PFL), is a type of linguistic prescription which puts a person before a diagnosis, describing what a person “has” rather than asserting what a person “is.” It is intended to avoid marginalization or dehumanization (either consciously or subconsciously) when discussing people with a chronic illness or disability. It can be seen as a type of disability etiquette but person-first language can also be more generally applied to any group that would otherwise be defined or mentally categorized by a condition or trait (for example, race, age, or appearance).
Person-first language avoids using labels or adjectives to define someone, utilising terms such as “a person with diabetes” or “a person with alcoholism,” instead of “a diabetic” or “an alcoholic.” The intention is that a person is seen foremost as a person and only secondly as a person with some trait. Advocates of person-first language point to the failure to mentally separate the person from the trait as reinforcing a sense that both the trait and the person are inherently bad or inferior, leading to discrimination whilst also implicitly reinforcing a sense of permanency even regarding issues that are likely to be temporary. For example, a person with a substance use disorder has a fair chance of achieving long-term remission—many years in which they are healthy and productive—but calling them a “substance abuser” reinforces an unspoken sense that they are inherently and permanently tainted and casts doubt on maintenance of remission.
People first language (PFL) is used to refer to people who are broken without hurting their feelings.
Libtards have appropriated PFL as a way to virtue signal how much they care about their pets. Libtards say one must use the phrase “person of colour” because the person is more important than the colour.
Yet the “POC” (as the libtards say) is being differentiated from white people (otherwise known as “people”) based entirely upon the POCs skin colour.
Thus it’s not the person that’s important. It’s the colour of the person that’s important. Were this not so the libtard would have no need to distinguish the coloured person from people.
End tangent.
Back to the story.
The unnamed protagonist is a coloured women. From Mexico. There is a great amount of subtlety here. I’ll do my best not to mansplain to you. She lived in a slum and collected garbage as a job in Mexico. Get it? Get it? GET IT!
Leonardo’s been going ‘bout freedom fighters again, which means I’ve been putting on the headphones and listening to my music. The good thing is the aliens let me charge the player. Otherwise l’d kill that little shit.
Well, he ain’t that little. Leonardo is pretty tall, probably ‘cause he didn’t have to eat no garbage when he was growing up. His dad had some sort of fast food franchise and Leonardo was doing really well, studying at the Tec, fucking pretty girls and driving a fancy car ‘til the aliens landed and started rounding people up in sectors. And, since the aliens don’t classify by social status, Leonardo got put in with me. I’m not sure if he was more dismayed ‘bout being a prisoner or ‘bout having to share a room with the likes of me. I’d say me.
I don’t really care. Our home was a one bedroom which I shared with my three sisters and my parents. Sharing with one person is easy and it’s even easier when that person doesn’t reek of alcohol-laced coffees, like my dad did.
Her daddy was an alcoholic. Get it? Get it! GET IT!?
The antagonist is Leonardo. I wonder what country he is from. I wonder what colour his skin is. I wonder if his parents were married and one of them had a job and the other raised him. I wonder if Leonardo isn’t interested in being enslaved by the alien invaders.
Here’s the takeaway. Women side with invaders. Women side with alphas. Women side with the powerful. Women do these things to preserve their own lives. Women have no loyalty to their tribe. If Earth was invaded by aliens a significant percentage of women would welcome the aliens and immediately start having sex with them just as a significant percentage of women in France did when the Germans invaded.
Hypergamy is what women do. Loyalty is not what women do.
Leonardo, Fabiola and Mario make their escape. Leonardo doesn’t take the protagonist with him. Why? Because he probably knew that in the end she would betray him. The protagonist spends the entire story hating Leonardo because he is white and wants to escape. Her lack of loyalty to her species is pretty obvious.
I know he’s going to betray me but it still stings when it happens. He does spring out, but just with Fabiola and Mario. They don’t bother taking me with them.
It’s okay because they’re caught two days later and brought back. I see them being dragged across the patio in chains. Leonardo’s got a wild look in his eyes. He catches sight of me, standing with my alien advisor by a window. He yells. He asks me to convince them that they’ve made a mistake. Mercy. Intercede.
My advisor glances down at me. I know how to say this, of course. But sticking up for a runaway won’t look good. I know it’ll go in my file. I won’t be able to fly in one of the pretty ships. Maybe they’ll even say I was an accomplice (and I was, it would be true) and punish me too.
You might be wondering what sort of racist, sexist, homophobic, which supremacist man wrote this story which expertly highlights the hypergamy and betrayal of women?
Let’s read the authors bio.
Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Silvia Moreno-Garcia is the author of Signal to Noise, named one of the best books of the year by BookRiot, Tordotcom, BuzzFeed, io9, and more; Certain Dark Things, one of NPR’s best books of the year and a Publishers Weekly top ten; the fantasy of manners The Beautiful Ones; and the science fiction novella Prime Meridian. She has also edited several anthologies, including the World Fantasy Award-winning She Walks in Shadows (a.k.a. Cthulhu’s Daughters). Gods of Jade and Shadow is her latest novel.
Hyphenated name. BuzzFeed. NPR.
Follow the link. Look at her photo way down bottom of the page.
I dare you.
Surprised?
Of course you aren’t. You didn’t need to click the link and see the photo because you know what she looks like.
Yet this story is simply an honest tale of female nature. What lies ahead is legitimate mental illness.
Let us take a pause before gazing upon the mental illness. If you did look at Silvia Moreno-Garcia you’re gonna need some time to recover before I show you something that’s gonna make you barf until you’re reduced to dry heaves.
Thus I bring you . . . some science fiction not to be skipped.
An Escape Pod story which is good. They are rare. Enjoy ’em while ya can.
It took Othrick less than a second to find the multipistol. Dryth faces are poorly suited to smiling, but there was a tightness in his eyes and nostrils that indicated some degree of vindication. He seized the pistol and held it up for his Lorca master. The other Dryth drew his weapon and leveled it at me. “An assassin, sir.” Othrick announced. “As I suspected.”
Tagrod frowned at the tiny weapon. He shook his head. “Ah, Tal, I thought you were different.” Tagrod shook his great head.
Othrick tossed my pistol over the side and then grabbed me by the collar. It’s easy sometimes to forget how much muscle is crammed into a Dryth’s compact frame until they lay a hand on you. Othrick dragged me over to the edge of the yacht and probably would have pitched me over with little trouble, had not Tagrod stopped him. “I want to know why.”
I smiled. “The usual reasons. You’re a great, smelly murderous beast with pretentions of civility. It’s almost sad if it weren’t so barbaric.”
Tagrod grinned, but showed his teeth this time. They glittered in the dim light of Sadura’s bioluminescent fungi. “The Lorca are no different than the Lhassa, Tal. We both feed on one another and on those around us, as does everything. The Lhassa have never understood this, which is why they consume whole planets with the ravenous appetites of their many young. We Lorca—we true Lorca—eat you to thin the herd, which benefits all.”
“Except the meals.” I tested Othrick’s grip by struggling a little, but he held me with geological firmness. Without bones, I had no way of leveraging an escape.
Tagrod waved Othrick away from the rail. “You care so deeply for my slaves, but so do I. This may be difficult for you to understand, but I love them. When, at last, I consume them, it will not be a barbaric act. It will be the course of nature—the way of the world. There is beauty in it.”

Good sci-fi doesn’t mean you have to agree with every idea, every moral, every character. Good sci-fi means a story that holds your interest and makes you think and that you enjoy.
Now at this point I know many of you are going to say “But Great One! I don’t have time to watch all these videos you’ve linked to. I’m sooooooo busy. I have to spend money but not through your Amazon affiliate link at cls.link. I have to put off washing dishes. I have to check Instathot like an attention starved teenage girl. I have to go to the gym and phone it in instead of actually pushing myself. I have to-”
No. You need to shut your mouth and know your role. Your role today is to watch these videos.
Let the games begin.
“A man’s worth can be judged by the caliber of his enemies.”
What’s so captivating about this film to me is that I think this might actually work.
“It’s enough to scare the hell out of anyone.”
And Robert Picardo (who was the best thing in Star Trek Voyager) is brilliant.
Speaking of being scared.
The drones are coming for you. For me. For all of us who are un-cucked. Behold the future. Behold your death.
“Inside here is three grams of shaped explosive.”
Good science fiction is prophecy. You will die by technology.
How does one see the future before it happens? By paying attention to the present. What do we have in the present? A yearning for AI to take over all the day to day functions of our lives so that we can . . . attention whore on the internet.
Your real life is empty and devoid of value. You know this and it renders you unable to self-validate. You need attention to feel alive because you aren’t alive in any real sense. You pretend for attention and you need attention for your pretending because pretending has become the only thing you have left. Now you pretend for the internet, becoming more and more desperate for people to click on your affiliate links because you can’t get a job.
“I can’t keep chasing an algorithm!”
Good science fiction calls things what they are. You will live by technology.
“This is all we have left.”
Once you have only this left will you discover any courage? Any purpose? Any drive. Any reason to live? And if you do discover any of these things . . . will you approach a girl in the grocery store because you wanna bang her until your dick falls off or will you only reluctantly ask a girl out while nearly pissing yourself because Alexa told you to?
“You need to ask that girl out on a date. On a real date.”
“The odds of you committing suicide are increasing by the second.”
If you do “actually see a girl – in real life” will it be because you exercised your will-to-power and made it so (as that sissy French Captain of the Enterprise would say) or will you need Amazon to arrange it for you?
Will you create something with zero money that pays homage to the films you love?
Will you turn over political power to women and let them decide the fate of the world?
Will you watch as women destroy everything in their quest to progressively progress civilization and revolve the cosmos around their feelings?
Will you not even notice as the The Doctor questioning his right to destroy a species . . .
. . . is replaced by The Doctor travelling about in her reTARDIS and being “sexually awkward”.
Speaking of sexual retards – let us now boldly go where no man had ever gone until the Millennial generation was born.
Captain’s log: Stardate 2019.12.30. While looking up the show notes for an episode of Escape Pod podcast our scanners detected an anomaly. It appears to be a tear in sanity. What is leaking through into our universe is an expanding zone of victimhood, parasitism and mental illness . . .
I went to the the Escape Pod website to get the links for the episodes I wanted to link to. While there I saw this.
For the past 5 years, September has been the month where we open to Artemis Rising submissions. In case you have been eagerly anticipating this, or Artemis Rising 6 in 2020, we have some news:
All of Escape Artists is taking a hiatus to think about how best to move forward with this project in a way that serves our listeners, authors, and staff in the best way we can.
Because you are a man you are asking yourself “What is this Artemis Rising thing?”
Because you are a man who know who Artemis is. You do know your mythology right?
Artemis :: Greek Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon
Artemis is the Olympian goddess of the hunt, the moon, and chastity; in time, she also became associated with childbirth and nature. No more than few days old, she helped her mother Leto give birth to her twin brother Apollo. Artemis was very protective of her and her priestesses’ innocence. Consequently, she wasn’t very nice when some of them weren’t so careful.
Even though Plato says that the name “Artemis” is related to her virginity and the Ancient Greek word for “unharmed” or “pure,” we now know that its origin is undoubtedly different and possibly even Persian. However, scholars can’t agree over its original meaning.
Portrayal and SymbolismSculptors, poets, and painters, however, had no such problems. Artemis is almost universally depicted as a young, beautiful and vigorous huntress carrying a quiver with arrows and holding a bow, typically wearing a short knee-high tunic and often accompanied by some animal (stag, doe, or hunting dogs). As a moon goddess, she is sometimes represented wearing a long robe and a crescent moon crown.

Thus did the faggots at Escape Pod take Artemis’ name in vain. For you see Artemis Rising is a month in which they only publish stories by “women and non-binary” authors.
Let me explain that. They only produce stories that are not good enough to compete with stories written by people with talent. It’s a month in which affirmative action takes priority over merit and they don’t try to hide this fact like they do the other eleven months of the year.
I skip every story that is released as part of the affirmative action Artemis Rising initiative.
You should to.
The only people who need affirmative action are the people who can’t compete based on their skill, talent, knowledge, wisdom or ability to create value for others. Every writer who had a story published by Escape Pod as part of Artemis Rising had that story published not because it was a good story that was judged amongst the best of the best. That story was published because the author was a she or an it.
This coming Year Of Our Lord and Saviour The Trumpenfuhrer 2020 the fags are cancelling Artemis Rising. Why? Have they seen the light and renounced judging writing based on how mentally ill the writer is rather than how good the story is?
Nope. You wish.
For us behind the scenes, Artemis Rising took on another meaning — a holistic approach to issues of gender in publishing, where we offered marginalized members of our staff senior editorial roles where they could train, learn, and lead. We made a concerted effort to give folks the stage, at every step of the process, who might never have gotten the chance otherwise.
One of the most common errors in discussing, showcasing, and describing marginalized genders in a submissions call is grouping women and nonbinary folk together, as though one necessarily implies the other. Even that listing, setting women first, suggests a hierarchy of identity and importance. “Marginalized Genders” is too broad, and the tonal focus of Artemis Rising had been on the femme side of experience, which alienates some intersex folks, trans men, nonbinary men, agender folks, and many others. “Everyone but men” carries similarly loaded implications we’re not best-placed to arbitrate.
. . . . .
In order to make the right changes, and to make sure that our execution aligns with our intentions, we’ll be taking 2020 off.
Artemis Rising is on hold because of the Alphabet Wars in mentally ill LGBTQKKK+ (the plus is for paedophile) freaks strive to fuck each other and to fuck each other out of apex victim status.
The Escape Pod faggots are so baffled by biology (but they do believe in Global Warming because a retarded 16 year old girl said “how dare you” on TV) that not only are they unable to wrap their tiny libtard fucktard brains around “intersex”, “trans”, “nonbinary”, “agender”, and “many others” but even the concept of “everyone but men” is beyond their ability to navigate.
Even that listing, setting women first, suggests a hierarchy of identity and importance.
When writing a sentence in which a series of options are listed one of the options has to appear in the list first. Fucking hell. To say “women and non-binary” doesn’t mean women are superior to non-binary people. Though normal women are superior to non-binary people. Notice I didn’t use PFL and write people of non-binaryness.
The faggots at Escape Pod could fucking write “non-binary and women” but fuck me mate! Then that would mean women are inferior to non-binary people! And why the fuck aren’t the writers at Escape Pod using PFL? What if they wrote the words woman and non-binary at the same moment?
What if all this agonizing was applied to solving . . . Global Warming! How dare you!
How about instead of pearl clutching over one mentally ill person seeking attention you instead PUBLISH SOME SCIENCE FICTION WRITTEN BY PEOPLE (OF ANY FUCKING KIND) THAT HAVE TALENT! But fuck no. That is way beyond your always on virtue signalling offend no one click my Patreon link supplicating hate filled low intelligence parasitical welfare collecting on medication for you personality pussy hat wearing skill set ain’t it?
Fire up the ovens!
But I digress.
I kept following links to get back to the source of the agony and pearl clutching (but not clutching of pears enough to use People First Language) in an attempt to find out what started this existential crisis for the fucktards of Escape Pod.
It has come to our attention, through multiple channels, that the current incarnation of Artemis Rising 5 has caused harm to members of our community.
. . . . .
We apologize for the exclusion and hurt caused by this year’s call. We appreciate the feedback we’ve received; to everyone who voiced their objections, thank you for giving us a chance to correct our error. We hear you.
http://escapeartists.net/2018/09/07/on-inclusion-and-artemis-rising-an-apology/
Finally! I’m gonna find out from these “multiple channels” about all the exclusion and hurt that was caused by affirmative action.
Harm has been caused to members of their community! O. M. G. Exclamation mark!
I was ready to learn how this exclusion and hurt rivalled the treatment of the (((Jews))) by the poster child for evil himself, A. Hitler (not to be confused with The Great One, Himself – you’re truly). I braced myself for tales of extermination camps into which mentally ill LGBTQKKK+ (the plus is for paedophile) freaks where driven, gassed, and tossed into mass graves.
What did I find?
Thanks to Bogi Takács’s eloquent explanation of how to bring more voices to the table, we are examining the best way to repair the trust we’ve broken. We appreciate the conversations happening on various platforms and thank you for allowing us to participate in them.

Bogi Takács?
I’m sure this person is totally normal and rational. Probably has a real job and everything.
Bogi Takács (born 25 December 1983) is a Hungarian poet, writer, psycholinguist, editor, and translator.
Career
Takács is an agender trans Jewish writer, now resident in the United States, who has written Torah-inspired Jewish-themed work. As an agender individual Takács uses e/em/eir/emself or singular they pronouns. Takács is also disabled and has worked with a number of other writers on projects such as Disabled People Destroy. Takács has been published in Strange Horizons, Uncanny, Lightspeed, Clarkesworld, Publishers Weekly and Apex.
Takács completed an undergraduate degree in Hungary and two master’s degrees, an MSc in Psychology (Experimental and Cognitive Psychology) and MA in Theoretical Linguistics, both from ELTE University of Budapest but moved to the US to complete further post-graduate work in the University of Iowa.
Award and nominations
Winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Best Transgender Fiction for Transcendent 2: The Year’s Best Transgender Speculative Fiction
Nominated for the Locus Award for Transcendent 2: The Year’s Best Transgender Speculative Fiction
Where do I even start?
Psycholinguist.
Agender.
Trans.
(((Jew))). I have to throw this in so he (I’m deliberately “miss-gendering” him, you’re welcome) so he can hide behind the (((Jew))) card.
E/em/eir/emself pronouns.
MSc in Psychology. I neither know nor care what a MSc even is.
MA in Theoretical Linguistics. As opposed to . . . practical linguistics? The linguistics people actually use?
Moved to Iowa to keep going to college. He has two master’s, a MSc and a MA and he is still going to college. Still going to college! Four degrees . . . how hard can college be?
Transgender Speculative Fiction. Because fiction has gender.
Finally we find the source of the great crisis at Escape Pod.
People often ask me about phrasing calls of submissions. Is “women + nonbinary authors” an inclusive phrasing? I am going to share my thoughts both as as a writer and as an editor.
http://www.bogireadstheworld.com/why-women-nonbinary-is-not-a-good-idea/
You are not sharing your thoughts as a writer and editor.
You are displaying your mental illness in a power play for attention and other people’s money. Be sure to click the link to his Patreon page and support him. Since he can’t support himself.
I am a Hungarian Jewish agender trans person. My personal pronouns are e/em/eir/emself or singular they (I’m fine with either). I have been living in the US for the past three years, and I have recently transformed from a nonresident alien to a resident alien.
Rose Lemberg is my spouse and I spend a lot of time gushing about them. We have a child (my stepchild), Mati, who is ten years old. All of us are neuroatypical and are on the autism spectrum, which causes adventures!! I have motor dyspraxia and a variety of rather aggravating chronic health issues. These have been blamed on everything from pesticides to Chernobyl.
Bogi has . . . a child.
Bogi, Rose and child are all . . . neuroatypical.
Bogi, Rose and child are all . . . autistic.
Bogi has chronic health issues. Caused by pesticides and Chernobyl. Diet and exercise choices have nothing to do with it.
All of us are neuroatypical and are on the autism spectrum, which causes adventures!!
Exclamation mark! Exclamation mark! Two of them. It’s so funny! It’s so exclamation mark! Remember when mental illness was something to be taken seriously and something you wanted to fix? Now it’s pure exclamation mark!
I am a very firm believer in promoting marginalized writers AND also allowing them (us!) to write about anything we want.
Classic libtard projection. No one is stopping Bogi from writing anything. But if he ever reads this he will come after me to stop me from writing. When you are wrong censorship is your weapon of choice.
Now then . . .
As the Zoomers would say, I can’t even.
I have to move on with my life and get other things done.
On the one hand I’d love to rip into this. On the other hand . . . I can’t even.
Allow me to present some choice quotes from this post titled “Why “women + nonbinary” is not a good idea”. Do as you like but remember that Bogi wants you dead. There was a war here. A struggle for the control of Western Civilization. Bogi’s faction has already won. You’ve already lost. You just don’t know it.
You’re living in their world now. Until the drones kill you.
As far as I can tell, these calls all start out as “women only” calls and venues add “+ nonbinary” in response to criticism of their exclusionary nature. But as the trend of reverting the addition shows, the added nonbinary inclusion is more often than not just an afterthought, a surface language change. Nonbinary and/or other trans people are not centered or even emphasized in these calls. We never see “nonbinary people and women,” only “women and nonbinary” – even the “people” is often missing, though nonbinary is not a noun, it’s an adjective.
. . . . .
What are some of the problems with “women + nonbinary”?
This is not an exhaustive list, just some ideas that I’ve heard discussed:
It conflates nonbinary people with women, when many nonbinary people are transmasculine / nonbinary men / etc. …leading transmasculine nonbinary people not to submit.
Sometimes editors do not include any transfeminine people (trans women, transfeminine nonbinary people, etc.) in these calls, and often they are not transparent about this, making one to have to guess. …leading transfeminine nonbinary people not to submit. (And in my experience, trans women authors often avoid these calls altogether.)
It doesn’t necessarily include intersex people, who are marginalized on the basis of sex, but not necessarily gender.
It doesn’t necessarily include people of culturally specific sexes / genders.
In practice it often excludes nonbinary people who are neither masculine nor feminine, though this is not explicitly stated.. . . . .
If the call focuses specifically on the experiences related to womanhood, I think this is generally fine and not exclusionary! There should absolutely be projects that center womanhood, femininity, femme experiences (which are all terms with different, but related meanings). There are at present very few such projects that are trans-inclusive, especially in speculative fiction, unless they are produced by trans women / transfeminine people with an explicitly trans focus, like Maiden, Mother, and Crone: Fantastical Trans Femmes; Trans Women Writers Collective projects, etc. The same is true of masculinities, despite the newly upcoming exception of Speculative Masculinities. So yes, I feel that more projects focusing on women / femininity / femme-ness would be wonderful. But the particulars can often be difficult when a wide range of experiences is sought.
For example, if you as an editor are a cis woman, this makes you the arbiter of womanhood, and trans women / transfeminine authors will often be wary of submitting work. This is a justified wariness – many such calls are produced by trans-exclusionary radical feminists (TERFs) who are violently opposed to trans women.
I would say you as a cis woman editor can only counteract people’s wariness to an extent by reaching out to trans women / transfeminine authors and soliciting work from them, and developing a history of publishing work from such authors.

Why not just use “no cis men”?
This phrasing excludes intersex cis men, who are very much a marginalized group and generally not included in most places.
It also implies that trans men are not really men, even if the intent seems to be that trans men are “the good ones”. So this phrase is both cis- and intersexist.
. . . . .
Why not just use “women and femmes”?
I have seen this used in ways where it means exactly what one thinks it means on the surface – which I think is fine! -, but think using “women and femmes” can also be misleading in multiple ways, and it is good to be mindful of that.
First, many women (both trans and cis) are not femme, but are butch, masculine-of-center, etc. or just do not identify as femme for some reason. Emphasizing femmes makes them wary of submitting that they have to provide a more cisnormative women’s experience.
. . . . .
Why not just use “gender and sexual minorities”?
This includes people marginalized on the basis of sexual orientation, but does not include many women (women are not a minority). It also doesn’t necessarily include intersex people. It is basically a term that means something entirely different.

This hopeless longing wails through my thoughts, as the alien sweeps its arms out and knocks my bones to the floor. The clatter echoes in the dead air. While I can do no more than look on, he touches his membranes to the alabaster death table. He must find it satisfying, for he smashes one of his limbs against it with such force that a chunk cracks off.
The nanorobots rear up to attack, but I halt them. My heart feels ready to drop through the floor, into the depths of hell where I can burn up and be free. Hell is eternal, the old stories said. I chuckle, as the alien bends to pick up the piece of alabaster he’d dislodged. By the time he pins it against his chest and sweeps out of the room, I’ve dissolved into inconsolable laughter.
Kalesh and Saphida probe my thoughts, their concern so tender and polite, but their empathy is nothing to me. I watch, I watch, as the alien emerges from my portico with his shiny trinket, ignoring all the vastness of my tomb. He shows as little remorse for his crewmates as he did for me–he makes no effort to find them. Instead he shuffles up the ramp of his lander.
A blast of fire, and a trail of smoke dispersing within the howling winds, are soon all that remains of his presence. Then even the exhaust trail is gone, and I’m still laughing, laughing. How long will it be, now, until the sun goes out?

The sun has already gone out on Western Civilization. We’re all obsessed with spending fiat currency federal reserve cuck bucks on Amazon buying things that can’t possibly bring us joy in life.
So obsessed with spending we don’t even know we’re dead yet.
