Greetings friends and enemies.

No podcast today. Not even a repeat. Just some words of advice that you aren’t going to listen to because no one ever listens to The Great One, Himself. I don’t know why I even bother.

You will get to hear a long rant about this filled with bad words and insults some time in the near future but for now I want to tell you the short version.

I get a message from Dallas about the company truck. “The air conditioner doesn’t work and the truck is over-due for oil change. Why didn’t you tell me these things?”

I’ve told him the air conditioner didn’t work and we discussed the over-due oil change at least three times in the past 6 months.

I send Dallas an email to order some supplies we need from Amazon. We need these by a specific day. That day is today. I email him the links to the products weeks ago. Every time I ask him “Have you order the supplies yet?” he hasn’t. Finally on Wednesday (two days before they are needed) he sits down to order them (after I asked him had he ordered them 3 times that day) and . . .

. . . these products are unavailable. Thus begins the scramble to find something comparable, which we do but it’s more expensive. And it might take as long as two weeks to arrive.

Today’s lesson. Take. Fucking. Control. Of. Your. Life.

Dallas never hears anything anyone tells him because he spends more time on his cell phone that a 14 year old gurl.

Dallas sits on every fucking task he has until the last moment so that it blows up into a crisis.

He does this because he is disorganized as hell and has no idea how to write things on paper but I think he also does it because he enjoys the drama of “putting out fires.”

I’ve said this before. I will say it again. No one will listen.

Putting out fires does not make you a “hero”.

Preventing fires from ever happening makes you a “hero”.

Don’t be Dallas.

Take control of your life.

If you can’t take control of your life and you choose to blame other people for your failure expect to be treated like a child. Because you are a child.
