What wisdom is Michelle bringing us today?

This inability to trust in experts is frequently seen among science deniers, who apparently make up much of the Republican base now. Anti-vaccine activists think they know more about vaccines than doctors. Anti-climate change activists think they know more about the climate than climate scientists. And apparently, pro-life advocates think they know more about the law than three different courts.

A culture of denial like this is dangerous, because it enables people to simply believe whatever fits best in their worldview regardless of the facts.
