Anarchy Moment 0154 – On The Appeal Of Conspiracy Theories
It was one of those days where a thesis appears in my mind and I grab the recorder and start talking faster than my brain works.
The Question:
Why do people push conspiracy theories when they could push reality?
Example: Alex Jones talks about chem trails. There is no solid evidence for chem trails. Why is not talking about (and he actually does talk about this – maybe I should say why does he not focus more on . . . ) Obama and “your” democratically elected government killing people in foreign countries with flying robots.
There is empirical objective data that “your” democratically elected government is killing people with flying robots. And most of those people are not associated with terrorism. This not opinion or emotion. This is fact.
Why talk about chem trails instead of flying death robots?
My Thesis:
There are stupid people (I use to be one of them) who think that the sheep can be “woken up” to the evils of the State. I will call these people Almost-AnCaps.
These Almost-AnCaps operate under the premise that the reason the sheep have not rejected statism is because the sheep just haven’t seen the full extent of the “truth” and if you present the sheep with information which is shocking enough (like chem trails) the sheep will suddenly snap out of stupidity.
Thus they talk about chem trails.
It’s no secret that FDR (a democrat, the political party of Obama and the KKK) put yellow people in concentration camps. No one gives a fuck about that. The idea that chem trails is going to wake up the sheep is flawed to the core.
The sheep can’t wake up.
The sheep are inferior.
There is no cure in information. The only cure is natural selection.
