Stating The Obvious #150 – Fuck You and Fuck Your Feelings

Nine years ago today I published the first episode of Stating The Obvious. In celebration of my 9 year journey from right leaning minarchist to all out anarcho-capitalist I present a hour long rant entitled Fuck You and Fuck Your Feeling.

Here are the reasons you and your feeling can go fuck yourself:

0. When I hear other An-Caps saying they don’t want to offend people it pisses me off. Tho as my grandmother would say “It’s better to be pissed off than to be pissed on.”

1. If I piss you off enough you might think. It’s the Larry Winget approach. People don’t change if you just tell them how great they are.

2. My feelings get hurt every day. What makes you special? Statists murder and steal. The steal from me and restrict my freedom.

3. Why do you think your feelings are more important than killing people? Your feelings or dead people?

4. I’m not looking to convince or persuade you. You are evil or stupid and cannot be “saved”.

5. You are not my equal. If there is any aspect of you or who you are that I cannot make fun of you are not my equal.

6. You can’t think. Reaching the right conclusions for the wrong reasons is not thinking.

7. You choose not to experience different ideas. You call it diversity but it is actually conformity.

8. I am not here to be your friend.

9. If you don’t like having your feelings hurt by being called stupid stop being stupid. Don’t expect me to change my behaviour to accommodate you. My behaviour towards you reflects your behaviour.

11. Statists think that if you disagree with them there something wrong with you. Either they pray for you or they preach diversity. I know there is something wrong with you and I do neither.

12. You send the state to kill people for you. I’d be able to respect you if you would kill the people you don’t like yourself. You’d still be scum, but respectable scum.

13. You willingly consent to the state, you willingly obey the state, you do this of your free will.

14. You have opinions on things you don’t actually read. Don’t read the headline, read the whole piece. Why do you think your opinion about something you know nothing about has value or is important?

15. You 99%ers will murder me at any opportunity via the state and cheer my death, but you want me to care about your feelings.

16. Why are you so important that I need to persuade you? You are just a slave.

17. Your political philosophy is based on murdering people so you can have what you want and I’m not going to “respect” your stupid opinions. I’m going to shit on your opinions and wipe my ass with your face.

18. To my fellow libertarians and anarcho-capitalists, if you want freedom then at some point you are going to have to fucking offend somebody.

19. Ya know the fat kid that gets picked last when choosing teams? That’s you when it comes to philosophy. I don’t want to “convert” or “persuade” you because I don’t want you on my team.

20. Teacher shocking students / puppies experiment. Most people will kill you if they are told to. You can’t communicate intelligently with these people about something as abstract as the non-aggression principle.

21. I have a limited amount of time to live and many things to do, experience and create. I don’t have time to try explaining to some brain-dead statist why he is wrong. Changing your world view is not important to me unless you are important to me. Odds are you are not important to me. Deal with it.

22. Why does what I say hurt your fucking feelings so much? Because you know it’s true.

23. If I’m nice to you maybe you’ll stop being a statist? If a woman is nice to her rapist maybe he will stop. Had the Jews been nice to the guards maybe they wouldn’t have gotten gassed. If the Indians had been nice to the white man maybe they wouldn’t have gotten exterminated.

24. You take 17 second YouTube clips out of context because you can’t be bothered to watch the whole 50 minute video.

25. How you rationalize your beliefs:

Obama said he would close Guantanamo.
Obama has not closed Guantanamo.
Either Obama will not close Guantanamo or Obama can not close Guantanamo.
If Obama will not then he is a liar.
If Obama can not you are an idiot.
Thus you conclude “all Republicans are racist” so you can sleep at night.

26. I’ve been “doing this” for years. Reading books, taking philosophy classes, podcasting, challenging my belief systems, applying logic and looking for reasonable consistency. You read bumper stickers and the Huffington Post. I’ve been doing this for years. You read a bumper sticker yesterday.

Ultimately: The true test of freedom is “do you need to control what other people do?” and I don’t. I don’t care about persuading you because I can’t control you and I don’t intend to try nor do I need the drama of trying nor do I have the need to control others that comes from a lack of ego and self-value.
