Women use to have to rely on men to bring resources into the household.  Thus they needed to be feminine in order to attract and keep men. Then the welfare state happened coupled with the push to get women into jobs.  As a result women no longer need to appeal to men in order to get resources.  Thus we have fat, ugly, hateful femistatists with facial hair.
